The ask

To design and deliver a site re-design that aligns with the brand philosophy and local experience for each of the exotic locations for Ritz Reserve properties.


 
 

The pillars

01. Create a human to human connection.

Every guest has a personal host during their stay that strives to build a heartfelt and thoughtful connection. They take a genuine interest in their guests as individuals.

We were inspired by the 5 service goals taught to all staff members to bring the brand the life. We used this as our brief to create features and interactions to bring them to life in the design:

  1. Enchant guests daily with moments that take their breath away.

  2. Build trust through heartfelt gestures to make lasting connections.

  3. Highlight local culture through storytelling that shares insider knowledge.

  4. Provide instant, seamless service that feels magical.

 
 
 

02. Create a truly rare experience

“Reserve” was selected to describe that each estate is unlike any other Ritz Carlton location. Each property had it’s own rare, distinct and exclusive,

The UI and UX team worked hand in hand for create a balance between pulling brand moments forward, while still allowing the user to take the actions needed to educated them selves about the space and take action to book with ease.

03. Lean into local.

The properties are located in the most exotic locations in the world that boast extraordinary natural rarities. Site of historical relevance that are “unspoiled by mass tourism.” The architecture and design of the estates reflect this local culture as well as the on-site experts. We designed the site to pull from a visual system heavily influenced by the asthetic and feel from the area where each hotel is located.
